Hi all, just registered today, so i thought i would drop in and say hi, i'm a long term Citroen owner,at present having a Xantia VSX TD mk1, and a ( not very well ) V6, also a mk1
I hope that not actualy onwing an XM won't result in me being shunned or ignored ? as i feel that ALL Citroen owners are a unique breed , who talk about thier cars with an enthusiasm and passion not seen in other makes. The XM is a model i know not a great deal about, so in joining i hope to "bring myself up to speed" with all its qualities and quirks, i'm sure that its not greatly disimilar to the Xantia in a lot of ways, well bye for now, i hope to join in on a few discusions along the way Paul..............Aka................Fatherjack |

Hi. Welcome to Club-XM Paul. We meet again! (Interesting dilemma you have with that new
V6 purchase you made - I very nearly volunteered myself to buy it!!). The fact that you appreciate Xantiae and are here reading about Xm's is likely enough to see you fully as being a qualified Citroen nutter just like the rest of us!! If you venture here too much the tales will either scare you witless and stop you from buying one or make your mind even more set that it's the way to go. Are you just window shopping for an Xm or waiting for the right one to present itself? Thing with a forum like this is the fact that the mutual help and knowledge does see a few OMG why has it done this to me now queries but the interesting fact is the deep wealth of knowledge and hard won experience can steer the situation around from disaster! Welcome Paul, get an xm, you won't regret it (ok, maybe you will but you've already been bitten by the bug), stand outside the (boring) mainstream

I'm normally quite good with the tea leaves reading but not normally to my advanatage! Whatever, just don't get an autobox'd Xm as they're more likely to pack in than a Xantia one!! Wishing you success in your quest - I'd suggest a s1 V6 Xantia would be my ultimate Xantia barring a V6 with/and/or manual/Activa suspension! I also feel the s1 Xantia is also better looking than the s2 too and it's the right colour! FIX IT!!! Andrew This post has been edited by Andmcit on November 11, 2008 09:59 pm |
