I thought the same thing too Phil; before I bought A 2.5. It feels very much more like a
petrol engined car than the 2.1 TD. That's my point really. The figures quoted aren't far off the DTR CX, and that's one hell of a torquey useful piece of kit too (when it's not suffering from alleged porous block syndrome...) Andrew |

the torque figures also bear out the driveability differences...

I had one of those CXs and covered over 150k in it, at about 15k per head gasket - there's devotion for you.

Sorry i missed this, ive been away.
My estate search had kind of been slowed now, the hatch is staying so an estate will now be an addition! Out of interest, are you definitely selling steelcityuk? Its done around 150K? What have you done to it? I can see the pictures but im not that technical! Has it got any history? When is it taxed/MOT'd until? Does it need anything doing that you know of? Where are you based and how much, roughly, are you looking for it? It does look the cleanest one ive seen! PM me if you like. Dammit, why can't some folk just get on with it and commit to buy something rather than put
all through the shall I or shan't I bid for it process again!! Andrew |

It depends what the reason behind the relisting is, maybe the buyer did not collect within the time stated or something. P.s. my Estate search is on hold for now. I did see a fantastic example yesterday, lovely dark blue metallic, 2.5 estate with alloy wheels and even leather seats! - which were like new. It had done 140K but the cars body and underside looked like it had done 60K. It was the smartest estate id seen in a good while. Sadly it wasnt for sale anyway. It shows very tidy ones do exist though! Im sure the advertised estate still has a lot of miles to give. Im suprised how many 2.5 estates dont have air con, infact very very few seen too. Odd spec on what was an expensive car when it was new. -------------------- 1995 'N' XM 2.1TD VSX Manual Estate, magenta red - 62K miles

Hi Citroenmad
My previous comments still apply. I would not take it for free this weather. Clear within 3 days. Driving a couple of hundred miles up from North Devon with no working heater would be the end for me. Now if I could be sure that it was the underbonnet fuse F2 then it might be worth a punt but then it is only forest green not that nice emerald. John -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.
