Can anyone advise on how the spec of a VSX (in this case a 2.0 CT) differs from a standard model XM? I'm talking Series 2.

BASE MODEL: Manual seats, duel zone heating, MANUAL rear windows, the two most notable differences, possibly, lack of front fog lights, NO Dot matrix warning, instead a picture of a car with warning lights..
VSX: Automatic heating control, dot matrix display, electric seats, 4x electric windows, front fog lights... Im not 100 percent certain on S2 specs, but fine with S1 cars.. but from what Ive picked up thats the most noticeable I can think of Rgds Paul -------------------- 1993 K Reg 3.0 V6 12 Valve Auto (Green) LPG S1.5 SORNd

Thanks Paul,
Toying with the idea of changing my (fairly fault-free) VSX for an SI with half the mileage.... -------------------- 1994 S2 CT auto petrol hatch blue, 100k

A lot of the SIs had dot matrix, electric seats as an option and 4xE/W anyway (most I've seen have these), I've only ever seen base 'i's without.
The fuel computer I think is standard on VSX but optional on Si. Only other difference I can think of is some of the base models had manual mirrors, but certainly all Sis have electric, and the sunroof is electric on all models. All that said, even if the Si is lacking some of the toys of the VSX, its easy enough to retrofit some things such as the seats. After all you can't buy the perfect XM, you make one Ciarán This post has been edited by Ciaran on October 23, 2008 05:01 pm -------------------- '95 XM 2.1TD VSX Hatch: RP 6429. Rare green ;-)
