I went down to Essex last week, 500miles each way. On the way down I was doing a stead 70ish and returned 47mpg. On the way back however, it was heavy rain a lot of the way so I just plodded back at 60-65 all the way. The car returned 53.1 to the gallon which is incredible for a 2.5td.

Just thought I'd let you know

That is impressive MPG from a 2.5!

Id love a good 2.1 estate but its finding one!

My 2.0 Auto gets about 33-38 depending on what kind of driving. A diesel would be nice.

Yes it is the wrong area but I can't resist a debate on mpg biggrin.gif Its largely down to the way you drive but my 2.1s regularly return 50+ and on Monday as I head once again to the far north of scotland I will expect 55+ between Axminster and Inverness, and that's without really trying. I reckon that 60 mpg would be fairly easily obtainable from a manual 2.1. - Sponsership anyone? smile.gif
