Hi Folks,
I have an L reg Prestige available for spares/repairs. 130k on the clock and I have most of the s/h.
It looks like the head gasket's on the way out. MOT to next August, Taxed to end Feb.
White, chrome door trims, alloys, leather interior, all the usual bits on a Prestige.
I've spent a lot over the last year getting bits fixed, but the £5-600 quote from my local Cit specialist is the last straw.
Recently done: HP pump, Distributor valve, front height corrector, Water Pump and cambelt, bottom hose, turbo activator, rear spheres and brakes, 2 new tyres for the MOT and various other bits I can't currently remember but have the receipts for.
You can drive it and it settles down when warm to actually running on all four cylinders.
Most bits work- the A/C was recently recharged but seems to have given up, the computer reads 10 degrees above what it should do on outside temp, and occasionally the fuel consumption display won't get going on damp mornings. In other words, the usual eccentric stuff!
I'm based in Malvern Worcs if anyone wants to have a look and haggle.
I'd be happy if anyone here can make a go of getting the old bat back to health, otherwise there's a bunch of good spares there.
Ring 01684-576896 anytime.

Best wishes,

David.

Did you try Kseal?

Also my indies seem to be having some problem sourcing a bottom hose for my Prestiige,
can I ask where you got yours from? Was it new? Mine is 2.0i nonturbo with a/c, K reg. No water loss or bubbling since K seal went in over 3k miles ago, but it now won;t hold coolant.

Incorrect temperature is just the sensor or sensor wiring.

How much MOT? Could I drive it to Leominster (well almost that far)?

Does the stereo work? LOL

Hi Tim,
I haven't tried K-seal, so thanks for the tip.
My bottom hose came from Chevronics in Beds, of all places, which was taken off a car they were breaking. 4 months (at least) back order waiting time from Citroen..........blink.gif mad.gif wacko.gif

My Prestige is MOT'd till next August, and yes, you could drive it to Leominster; I managed Hereford and back with no probs and by being careful.
And yes, the stereo does work! biggrin.gif

I've managed to get a nice 2.5 diesel which I'm very happy with, so I'd like the Prestige to go to a good home either for sorting or as a donor car. The alloys may be worth something, likewise the leather interior.
Anyone want to come and have a look?

Best wishes,
David.
