smile.gif i just fixed mine on my 2.5, (wipers working intermittently) they would start if i thumped the wiper arm?? i took the scuttle off and the plastic bag on the motor ,witch was full of water, then peeled back the tape at the front of it to see the commutator, it was grey in colour so i had to think should i take the whole thing out or see if i could fix it in situ, so i tried to fix it in situ, the motor body is held on with two torx screws ,a bit fiddly but fairly easy to get out , gues what ,the nuts are loose one fell into the motor the other one fell into the well (oh bugger), anyways i pulled the motor housing off which left the rotor hanging the brushes (3oft hem) are at the output end of the motor) were only half worn? and free to move, but the commie was glazed over , i think some grease had leaked back from the worm drive box and gunked them up?? so i cleaned it by spinning it by hand with a bit of 220 sand paper, then re gapped the segments with a pointy thing i got in a cheap kamasa tool kit , then wonderd how to put it back together again? (brain wave) rear view mirror in the well, torch (burgler type,) cheep and nasty jubili clip undone bent to a suitable angle double sided tape to hold the square nut on for the underside fixing ,you have to put it in the slot in the motor housing about 1/2 befor its completely home as when its fully home the slot is coverd by the mounting plate then tightend the screw up and a good tug on the cheep jubly clip and presto then repeted the same on the top one, the whole job took about two hours and a bit of cussin an swearin but the wipers are fine now ,they have also stopped juddering? (should have took some pics but forgot)
