I have narrowed down my starting issues to a faulty stater inhibitor relay, but have no idea where it it is!

Are you referring to the automatic gearbox relay?

This is from the XM-L files section. Series 2 V6. Might be different on your model. But it should be somewhere there on the slam panel smile.gif

It would seem to be the next one in on the 2.1 TD, as this one I found to have suffered a similar fate to the heater fan fuse! So I pulled all of them and gave then a good clean and repalced the mildly melted one. Starter now works, and a number of other bits have come back online.. like the glowplugs and one of the radiator fans (I had assumed it had failed as the other one worked fine). Car is due to be off the road for a week or two soon, to have the paint redone (mild rear wing damage) and the suede sections of the front seats repalced, yep spending far more than the car is worth, but then what will deisel automatic car simialrly equipped to an exclusive of simialr size that will return 50MPG + cost me? and would it look half so interesting? and will it work on filtered WVO? (If not, don't want it anyway)
