The PCB on blower motor assembly has finally burned out due to condensed water pouring from blocked A/C spigot on every left turn during all summer. I will have to rebuild it but I would need to know the exact electronic parts list. Anyone can help? Thank you in advance.

Can't help with the components list sadly John, but if you find yourself stuck you should be able to lift the transistor board off the motor of any PSA vehicle, as long as the wiring arrangement is the same (e.g which connector it has etc)

There is very little to it, its the transistors that usually fail, even on undamaged units. I have used any TO3 type PNP power transistors rated at 15a or more. I am told that the originals are Darlington pairs, but I have quite successfully used ordinary bipolar transistors.

I found these Darlington MJ11015s from RS did the job well too.
Only minor flaw in them is they run the motor at a veeeeeerrry slow speed with the switch set to 0, when the ignition is on, but we're talking like 3 RPM here. Other than that, they work very well throughout all the running speeds, and have been reliable. I put them back in with a thin layer of silicon based heatsink compound, normally used for computer CPUs, and it seems to cool them well. Thank you. Well, I suppose Darlington pairs will not be required here since we're talking about high power output transistor. I can't read the original marks on them. Can you please quote?

Hi John
Have refreshed a Blower topic that lists the original TI devices. John -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.
