Hi,

Have not used my XM in months now, the MOt expired last month and I need space on the driveway.
So have spoken to scrappy who has offered £75 for it.
Anyone who matches (or betters!) that offer can have it as long as you do not hang about too long to collect it. It is a 2.5 turbo very early S2 I believe in maroon (hatchback)

It drives fine, engine to me seems absolutely ok. Has about 117-118k on clock from memory and cambelt would not be due until 125k.

Bad points: A few as you would expect
Drivers side electric window cable broken. Have taken it apart to find out what was wrong and not put it back together.
Electric sunroof when I bought it was working but very creaky so oiled it and never touched it again probably does not work now.
Back light on RHS dashboard display gone (display itself still works)
Nasty person has recently nicked the NS corner side light housing
One tail gate pneumatic support knackered
OS front wing clearly has had a repair in the past and does not look quite flat
The heater matrix leaked 18 month ago and this is just bypassed so no heating

Otherwise things in it are in pretty good condition and interior is actually quite good for its age. All seats electrics work, as well as original Citroen stereo. Front tyres are half worn, rear getting on a bit but still well legal. Decent spare wheel and changing tools are there too.
Still has tax till Feb, you can buy this at cost if you want it with the car.

Any questions just pm me, should be around checking this week end.
Intend to otherwise take it to scrappy following week-end.
Cheers
Serge

Andrew

2.5 D NO AUTO!!! You should know that!!

Citroen or peugeot rather didn't have an auto box good enough to take the tourquy engine so, like the S1 24v manual only!

Another thing I forgot: huh.gif
Has a tow bar with full double electrics.

Cannot vouch for second connector as never used it, but have towed a trailer with it and they worked fine.

Hi Serge!

Thanks for the updates! Yes, you're actually where I was hoping you'd be! laugh.gif
I'm 100% up for your Xm as a going concern as it fits in with my plans...

At the start of next week I'm even going to be in Bedford so could buy the Xm then as I will have
a helpful passenger. Just need to pin down my exact movements as other parties are involved
which just needs some planning around.

Please email me your contact details and address to help me plan my movements
to: andmcit at tiscali dot co dot uk

Any piccies for me to get a better looksee now though?

Lovely car Serge! Speedo and ABS behaving themselves too!
Car got treated to a jetwash earlier and seems happier for it!

Yes, I bought it from Serge, and I've been very impressed by the car.

Yes, there are a few rough edges that can be sorted out with some time and with the parts cache
I've accumulated along the way. The only issues to consider now are a cautionary timing belt
change, a small welding patch to one sill blink.gif, and some sense made of the driver's window
mechanism.

The car is already very presentable now though would respond very well to alternative panelwork
for a nosecone, front bumper and both front wings but I'm splitting hairs. The car has a sensible
118k miles mileage so could have a good many years in it in the future!

I feel very at home in it being a petrol Xm pilot and having never driven a 2.5 any distance!

Andrew get it in third at about 1500 revs and just ease it onto the turbo. You will be impressed! biggrin.gif Don't do this in town! laugh.gif

Andrew,

Very pleased you like the car as I did think it was just a little too good to break up - I will definitely be missing that 2.5Diesel engine!
