Hi,
I found on Saturday that the front offside foglamp (blank) on my XM has got broken - probably with a stone. I found that Craig (posting 1st July can send me replacements) http://club-xm.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=375 The ones on my 1994 XM CT 2 litre Turbo are blanks - ie no bulbs or functionality and no switch. Craig raised the interesting idea that maybe the wiring is all in place it just needs to be plugged in and a switch somehow. Wonder if anyone can advise on whether there would be any problems fitting a "real" foglamp into a blank and whether Craig has hit on a winner about the wiring all being there? Thanks for your help, Andrew -------------------- I have an XM Petrol 2 litre CT turbo saloon auto 1996 N Reg

Hi Pavesa,
I'm currently looking into doing the same thing with my 2.5. The 2.5 has got the wireing as standard (easily checked, look underneath the front indicators and you should find a spare blue connector hanging loose. The foglight plugs into this. Or prise out the blank where the switch would be on the dash and see if the connector is there, it is on the 2.5.) I think it all has to do with the luxury level, as long as its a vsx (over here all Turbo CTs are) I think you will have most of the wireing as standard. However I don't think you'll be able to fit the fitting in a blank foglight. On my car the blank fitting is different than that of a foglamp car. When looking into the glass you'll see a reflector which is exactly the same as that of the indicator light, the fog light reflector should be completely clear. If you have some more patience I'll make a self-help when I get around to doing it. (not for at least 5 weeks though because of the holidays and getting the 2cv ready to go.) Hi Niek,
thanks very much for the posting. If you could make a self-help file, that would be fantastic. Craig has sent me the working foglamps now together with the dashboard switch so if the wiring is in place, the whole thing should go together. A self-help file, would be really useful, thanks Andrew -------------------- I have an XM Petrol 2 litre CT turbo saloon auto 1996 N Reg

Excellent.
I just did mine last weekend and took pictures along the way. Mine work fine too. No need for a self help anymore I guess. -------------------- '94 Xm 2.5 TD vsx + cruise + fogs!!
