My exclusives climate conreol panel had been acting up the last week, just randomly dropping out and then comming back up. However it has now gone deader than a dead things that has been dead for a week
I have investigated the engine bay fusebox and found it had gone into meltdown, this has now been repalced with one curtesy of a Xantia.. but still no sign of life what so ever from the climate. ANy good clues as to where to look? the dash lights work on it but it seems no power to the control side of it at all Stewart -------------------- Of all the things I have lost I think I miss my mind the most

Same problem on mine, check if demister works, I suspect also engine running info relay 848 playing up. Mine made horrible noises as it went. I think the relay was oscillating. Check also F3 in fuse box. Michael -------------------- 95 S2 2l Petrol Turbo Exclusive

When you press the AUTO switch on the control panel, what happens? Do you see any green dots lighting up? Which ones? How about the temperature display? -------------------- 2000 XM 3.0 V6 24v Exclusive Auto 70k km (LHD; ORGA 8569)

I've had this problem twice with mine in five months and each time it was just the fuse under the engine bay. I have to check it regularly as when they go they've melted everywhere. Could the connections/wiring be damaged to the replacement fuse box?

The general fault is that the 30A relais is missing a negative connection. The relais is fitted under the glove compartment is green, small and has 30A marked on it. Just make a new negative lead on the body.

You must be referring to relay 848, right? It's supposed to be earthed through m5. What goes wrong here then?
