Hi Gang...

I don't know if anyone else has been to their local steelers to have a look at the new beast - but I found myself with an hour to spare this Sunday so I thought I'd go and check it out...

Against my better judgement it's actually quite nice... I drove the 2.0 HDI AUTO exclusive (with Hydractive!)... And it actually feels like a propper citroen...

Additionally though, it does feel well put together and inside it's a nice place to be - the dash is too busy and easily obscured by the steering wheel (which has way too much going on on the fixed centre boss) but other than that it's not bad...

But in this world of car size inflation it actually feels bigger to drive than my XM!

And can someone explain to me why a saloon is a good idea? If I were actually to buy one (Really I'm in the market for a diesel auto xm hatch) I would have to go for the 'tourer'!

Hi OIi

If it had a none electronic idi engine (2.1?) and didn't have multiplexed wiring and wasn't auto, I might well be interested in one myself. smile.gif I like things I can repair myself. biggrin.gif

Having said that, I do think its a nice looking car by modern standards and probably the only one which comes near the XM for space, but an estate would be a must.

Yes. Someone within the motor industry has it in for large hatches and has been buisy persuading manufacturers that they should only offer saloons and estates.
