I was beginning to think that I owned the wrong car. I like my XM, I guess I must after the recent head job but for that kind of money I could get a Interceptor (well nearly!), not that I could afford to run it mind. I'm just not fanatical.
As for Puntos, they're OK I guess not that I've ever been in one. But years ago I did own a Panda. That's when I realised that the rear wiper was fitted so that you could open the hatch without severing your fingers on the rusty and jaggered hatch bottom. Yes Andy I do believe you, seen the pictures. Can you get a sticker saying my other CARS are Citroens? Lucky man! Oh well back to the sunbathing...  Steve. -------------------- XM 2.1 SED - RP5876

If I know David, then Andrew, simple answer - YES.. Durability? Defenatly! Who said the V6's are unreliable, or at least the most unreliable engine?? Apart from the odd starter glitch, my 93 SEi auto refuses to die!! She just keeps going and going and going and going.... I've just checked my MOT, for this year, and this half I've managed 12,000 miles  Problems? Um, well, no really. The gear selector cable siezed up - Can happen to any XM Rear spheres needed changing - can happen to any XM Front tyres got eaten up - can happen to any XM If the so called "least reliable" engine can be this good, what the hell is the "Most reliable" engine in the range like?? All i'm saying is it's a low mileage V6 24v.
