Is that to have Citroen air lift it to the Isle of Wight!? wink.gif

It's tends to almost be a case of take your phone number, double it and
then divide it by the day of your birthday... rolleyes.gif

Try finding a motaquip dealer in your area? They stock most OE parts for Cit & Pug at much lower prices.

I almost forked out for one of those years ago for a 2.0i Auto but the parts guy said the manual car's was only around £40. Bought that one which didn't have a branch off it like the auto's one and replaced the leaking section with a section from the new hose and a large hose connector.

The horrendous increase in the price of hoses seems to have coincided with an increase in durability. In my early days of motoring when hoses even in real terms were cheap, they needed to be as they didn't last long. In about 13 years of running XM's I dont think I have ever changed a hose. The same goes for 'fan belts' as they were, the roads used to be littered with broken ones. Good job we didn't have cam belts then! ohmy.gif

Hi Peter

I take your point, and there is no question that you are right, but £100 ohmy.gif for a rubber pipe? a plastic bag will last a long time, but i wouldnt part with £100 for one biggrin.gif
Wirdy, ive not even heard of motaquip, i will look them up on the www, thanks

Hi Dean

Oh I am sure they only cost a fraction of that to make, but because they are all sorts of peculiar shapes you cant replicate them. I still have quite a large stock of old (and probably useless) hoses, that I used to cut sections out of to make up the shape of the hose I wanted to replace, interspersed with bits of metal pipe. I used to do the same with exhaust pipe when I used to do diesel conversions. I collected loads of bits of exhaust from the breakers, and could usually make up the required shape by fitting two or three pieces together. Ah, they were the days! wacko.gif
