It seems that some headlamp washer jet covers are coming back into stock at Citroen.
At the moment, the right-hand one is the only one available, but the inference I make is that the one for the other side will eventually come back into stock

Now for the bad news. The price is £42.89 incl. VAT!! A costly thing just to make your car perfect, but that's the way it goes with an "old" Citoen model.

Interesting. So is this a transfer of stock from another country, or is this a new manufacturing run?

I ask that as if the stealers would ever bother to try and find that out for us rolleyes.gif

So, do I or don't I...

I would think the latter. They are obviously a bought-in part - which makes me think some other car manufacturer might have the same system.

I've not had an XM with washers but they look similar the ones on my Peugeot 605 SVE. Do they come out under water pressure and have quite a flimsy cover that attaches to the extending piston and pivots horizontally?

It would seem likely that the same PSA parts bin was used for these items & there must be a few 605's around breakers yards.

Odd to read this. A few weeks ago someone stole mine and ever since then I have not only been trying to spot XMs but have been peering suspiciously at their front bumpers.

what gets me is the effort and planning in doing something like this. I live in a busy street in London which means, I suspect, that someone drove past the car in the day, spotted the washers, and came back at night to swipe them. All to save less than fifty quid.
