Yes, I saw that, felt really sorry for the bloke. You really need an honour's degree in automobile engineering to take one of these on, although I should think that many of our members could get one for being able to repair them!

Isn't it common sense to take loads of disposable digital photos these days?

You'd likely risk discovering that some key item is AWOL as it sounds like it's been
chuntered from pillar to post whilst being worked on. Really, you'll need another identical car nearby to refer to, or at least take loads and loads of pics of. I even used my laptop to use as another part of the toolkit for assembly when working on a Xantia 2.0i auto engine out for the first time. This didn't help when fitting the torque convertor and gearbox together where they weren't aligned properly smashing the autobox's pump. That info was kept 'secret' by the autobox guy I received advice off and only mentioned AFTER the damage was done. Andrew This post has been edited by Andmcit on March 02, 2008 11:51 am |
