Hi all
this is a document I've seen around so many of you could have already seen it. It describes the Hydractive II system. Steve, if you look the schemas at pages 3 and 4, the detail of the little ball that controls LHM cross-flow (and car roll, consequently) is described. You can see that when the middle sphere is "out" (=hard suspension) the only path for LHM to flow is the one where the ball is housed. I am not sure as to what is the situation with that in an HI system. Surely there is a system for equalising pressures between left and right sides if car is kept in "hard", but think the roll-cotrol feature is not there. If anybody knows... cheers George This post has been edited by jorgy9 on February 22, 2008 10:15 am -------------------- XM '94 V6 12v, manual, Diravi - Mark "1.5" in black - bought: 138,000mls now: 167,000 miles
