Hi Minijet
Cars and Estates need different towbars. The chassis fixing points are the same for all XM's, Mk1 or Mk2, car or estate, though different tow bar designs may well use slightly different fixing points on the chassis. It is simply the tow hook projection that needs to be longer to clear the bumper that is further back on an estate. Some designs of tow bar are better than others at clearing the spare wheel carrier and its retaining clips. Regards XMexc -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.
