I spoke to the seller a few days ago.

The car is taxed and tested to the end of the month.

I had the idea that I could change the brake pads and drive it home, then sort out the other faults (if they weren't too serious) at a later date.

He couldn't remember what the other MOT failings were at the time, but he has now added them to his listing.

Items 1 to 5 (brakes & lights) I could handle I think, but 6 to 10 (steering & suspension) I'm not so sure about, so it's a none starter for me.

However, the seller claims that the engine and gearbox both run smoothly, and the bodywork (including underside) are in good condition.

He said the MOT garage quoted £500 to put everything right, then the car would be worth about £1500 unsure.gif

It may be worth a look if anyone on here lives near Maidenhead (even if it's just for parts) - I know there are a few V6 fans on here.

I would guess that it'll be off to the knackers yard if it doesn't sell by the weekend. sad.gif

Paul.

btw the colour is white.

if the list is accurate, not too bad to repair, but I've no room for another car to have parked on the street here. Pity as I probably have most of the parts too.

hydraulics probably not hard to sort, hose to caliper (<£10) or leaking caliper perhaps.
Strut - probably the leak-back hose - <£10
Discs & pads <£50
Lights - maybe bulbs/connectors...
ABS - probably the black relay affair on the ABS block or a sensor
handbrake cable
ball joint <£20

change engine & gearbox oil, filters, etc....

Did he mention mileage at all?
and service history?

If it's in this state, probably not too well maintained...?

regards
Dave

Dave

I didn't ask about mileage or service history.....at 50 quid I thought he might think me a bit picky....

A photo would have been useful but he doesn't have the facility to do it, I think he said a friend put it on ebay for him.

Paul.
