I'm norrie and I own the following Citroens:

'87 'E' CX 2500 GTI
'88 'F' CX 22TRS Croisette
'96 'N' XM 2.5 TD VSX

I've driven CX's since I was 17 (a long time ago now) having had a CX20, Athena and 2400GTI before the above list. I thought I'd never find another car to match the CX until I experimented with the Diesel XM for the first time.

The CX's were becoming harder to keep on the road and suffer the business mileage of 15k per year. I thought I'd try a diesel car for the first time since my father raved about his Audi A6 2.5 TDi. I bought the XM as a test thinking that I might get rid of it in a month or so.

No such luck. What a superb beast. The ride quality and the comfort level are incredible. I have done 16.6k in the last year and have never regretted one mile of it.

That's not to say I haven't had my share of problems.....
