OK well, maybe it's just me, but I think that's just nasty! What is it?
A Cx s2 with bits of Xm on it's front end! A lot of wasted effort too IMHO!!
Notice the CX badges on the C pillar trims! Too much time to spare to
get up to mischief?

but wait for it.....

the rear:

are you sure you're ready!?

...sitting down?

prepare yourself for the sheer ugliness of it! (You've been warned)

OK!!

(Apologies for the dodgy picture quality as these were scanned from bad
prints. Can't do much to improve the quality let alone the content!).

Kind of amplifies the brutal nature of the subject!!

IIRC this was mid 90's at either Peterborough or Huntingdon CCC.
It's taken a lot of time to reshape the front and back wings too.

But WHY?

Yep, Xm front bumper and large parts of Rover 400/600 at the rear...

It's not being picked up on the DVLA enquiry site and all I can say is
it better not have been a GTi turbo.

Andrew

What a brilliant idea, take all the best parts from all your favourite cars and cobble them all together to make the perfect 'Frankenstien' car.

There are some nasty looking gaps in the bodywork, especially around the front end.

I believe Michael Jackson tried to do something similar with his face........oh dear.

I've got to be honest, thats exactly how I feel every time I see stuff like this. WHY

Have these people got so much time on their hands.?

OK, I'll give credit where it's due, I couldn't do it. At least it gives us lot something to talk about.

Showed it to the Cx forum guys which generated quite an extreme response!

Burn it.

That's terrifying.

That nearly made me sick!!

Perhaps it was rusted out, and he thought saving it with butchery was better
than nothing? It looks horrible though.

The more you look at it, the more it looks like somebody has photoshopped it.
Imagine driving something that looked like it was photoshopped!
Why would you use a Rover rear end, as well. That truly is the final insult.

Personally, I never thought a Cx could be made to look SOOOO ugly.

If they have got all that time and money to spare, why not refurbish a proper one?

It's not showing up on the DVLA enquiry site because the number is on a Mercedes now, so that atrocity may well have been scrapped. Autotrader has a car number checking service on the home page.

Details for VRM :

hmmm, agree re the CX now looking awful, but thinking XM....

what headlights are those - wonder if they could work on an XM and give proper forward illumination.....? Looks closer to original design than the tripples.

They look like R21 S1? And the rear lights are def Fiat Tempra, perhaps bumper also.

Yep, they do like Tempra. That does fit in with the date being mid 90's though the
tail lights would have been nearly new - not off a scrapper!
