It would probably work on any car if you can install it, as it comes with its own reciever, but - no I hav'nt, has anyone else?

Hi All

Been playing with my spare Citroen Plip sets to test them to see if they are servicable. To check out the Mk2 ones I wired in an extension lead so that the receiver plug could be accessible in the glove box rather than underneath it. Having sorted out the few workers I had a couple of receivers with only one working Plip each so I got ambitious and added a second receiver plug in parallel and plugged up both sets. I found that not only did both plips work the car locks without problems but so did alternating button pushes between the Plips. So now I know how Citroen fitted that Diplomats XM with more than two Plips.

Now I know that it is possible to work the locking with multiple receivers the next stage is to wire in a Mk1 receiver as well and see if I can test those out. Will report on further progress.

Regards

My plip was shot when I bought my 2.5. I couldn't repair it and couldn't get a replacement plip so bought a Waeco kit.

Were do you get this small kit from, and how much??

Would be also a suitable replacement for S2 Xantias with RF locking systems, that use the same idea as the XM??
