My Prestige has decided that I should receive an audible warning whenever I use the indicators all of a sudden blink.gif
Now I thought this must be because one of the bulbs was faulty, but they are all OK.
But then I thought maybe it should have been there all the time, and had just started to work rolleyes.gif
Any thoughts?
Cheers, Carl

in the 24v which has the little screen by the steering column its usually displaying a warning message if you hear a beep.

usually it tells you that one of the rear stop lights are defective, but its a simple case of cleaning the metal tracks and bulb holders in the rear clusters.

Hope this helps.

David.

Hi Carl,

In my S2 there is an audible bleep when the indicators are working but only when I have the caravan or a trailer connected. From that I can only deduce that there's a sensor in the circuit which detects the lower circuit resistance (more lamps connected in parallel) and determines that a trailer is connected. Presumably if you are towing something and hear nothing when you indicate then it means there's a lamp out on the trailer. For info, my S2's don't have any form of 'bulb failure' warning system.

So if you're beeping has only just started then it sounds like you have a short or part-short in the indicator circuit. Does it happen when you turn both left and right? If so it narrows the location of the fault down to prior to the stalk switch. In which case the hazard warning switch gets my vote. They seem prone to failure.

Cheers

Hi Carl,

It'll be the hazard warning switch then.

Cheers
