Hi All

I saw it a few hours ago and put a watch on it. Will check next time I go into ebay.
Picture was of a Black V6 car LHD with foreign (yellow) front number plate. Item was for wheel nut and car offered breaking for spares/drive away (rear window broken).

Regards

Strange! I copied and pasted it (dont trust my memory) I think it had a Dutch number plate. I have just tried and it didn't work for me either. I even looked under 'ZM' and nothing came up.

Will keep you posted.

You'r right, its definitly not there. I reckon someone made him an offer he couldn't refuse! Unless he is going to relist it under 'XM'

Hi All

I suspect Ebay have taken it down as an illegal adv. Over the years I have had a few items that I was watching go like this. The dissappearance is typical of action from their end. If the seller withdraws or cancels the ad remains with a note added. There is a 2.5 parts ad at present where the seller notes that he has had to change his ad to offer the individual components as buy-it-now to comply with ebay rules.

Think you're right XmExc, typically in the past when I've looked for items which have been cancelled or ended early, they still remain in the listings, the fact this one has vanished without a trace would indicate Ebay have gassed it.

It's back, looks as though those who thought Ebay had slapped his wrists were right. Car is not the one in the picture, and the ad still doesn't give much away.
Lucky dip anyone??

Hi All

All his for sale postings will now be reviewed within 24hrs by ebay. Any indescretion will get the ad pulled. He will have to produce a fully compliant ad to get it to stay up. I learnt about the proceedures from the man I bought a key cutting machine from. These machines are not permitted for resale on ebay and it took 4 pulled ads before a permitted variant of the ad was generated. He had to describe it as broken for spares only. Ebay even have a key cutting machine section to trap ads in and make the deletion easier. They are now starting to crack down on car breaking ads that use the "this is for a wheel nut, ring me for bits and prices" unless the advertiser offers the bits as a buy-it-now.

Hi Andrew

Not contacted him but his first ad said driveable, a/c working etc and that he would sell whole if asked.
May have some V6 bits myself as I am recovering the auto box from a high mileage 95N Exclusive.

Regards

John

I asked him for some pics of the REAL car, said he'd take some and send them too me next few days

Doesn't look like he likes making much of an effort to sell his item/s
