am about to change the gear box oil in my 2.1 auto
what should i be putting in dextro 2 dextro 3 anything else?? any additives recomended ta again -------------------- 2.1td xm exclusive in silver 1996 5door

Hi Charlie,
The short and play safe answer to your question is Dex. 2 and change it at same time as engine oil or every other change . Some of the old oil cannot be drained. Take care not to overfill or underfill and check level when hot. There are more opinions and theories in the archive you may interested to read at your leisure concerning oils in relation to premature autobox failure. Also how to change all the oil by run through until clear. Robert. |

will go with the dex 2 for now
its just that a mate reccomended slick 50 as an additive but ill look around later for more information ta -------------------- 2.1td xm exclusive in silver 1996 5door
