Hi,
The range isn't really an issue for me, I don't tend to do many long trips and I know of 3 local garages that do LPG. As for the road tax, I'm not too bothered, if you break it down it isn't much per week and it's worth it to run such a nice car. Steve. -------------------- XM 2.1 SED - RP5876

Hi All
I would take 10 as well to make up the numbers, so that's 30, anyone else???? As Peter has said once an exact number is known and a design confirmed we can see which is the best way to go With it (Internet or Local printers) i will see the guys at my local sign company and get a price for say 100 to get a rough idea of cost. -------------------- 92 xm 20i prestige auto (modified)R.P 5678

Right, Stickers: has anyone here already volunteered a design or are the sign writers offering this
as part of the deal? I ask, simply as the means through which I fund my Citroen addiction is through my job as a graphic designer/mac addict!? In fact, (hoping this is taken the right way), could a design not be incorporated into a visually more pleasing forum masthead title!? The Bx club header redesign certainly smartened their overall visuals no end! Mind I won't be offended if I'm told to get lost! You can put me down for 10 stickers too.
Andrew, I don't think anyone has offered to design a sticker, and I guess this is something that we really should sort out before we go asking someone to print them! I'm sure your talents would be much appreciated. Regarding printing, one of my customers manufacturers corporate merchandise, stickers, keyrings etc, and another is a sign maker, so I'll make a casual enquiry tomorrow (read later this morning! I'm fairly sure we could generate an order of at least 1-200 if most of the regular want 10 or so initially.... Ciarán -------------------- '95 XM 2.1TD VSX Hatch: RP 6429. Rare green ;-)

Well with a day and a half left, I'm up to £600 and reserve still not met. Anyone like to hazard a guess at the finishing price? -------------------- 92 (J) 2.1TD Est. Usual Green.

Hi all
Feel free to work on a design, and look into prices, its worth shopping around, and it doesn't matter where they are produced as postage will be cheap for such small items. I was thinking of something similar to the total stickers in the rear window or even the logo at the top left of this screen???? -------------------- 92 xm 20i prestige auto (modified)R.P 5678

I would suggest that a reserve of £900 - £1000 may be the figure you are looking for. And with a BUY NOW price of the lower figure. Prices are cetainly hardening nowadays for 2.5, irrespective of the mileage. -------------------- Xantia 2 litre HDi Saloon X reg 1999

Hi Ken
I'd guess it'll fetch £1,100 - £1,300 on eBay, with the serious bidding coming in at the last minute, but you never know! It seems to be a good car and the description & photos probably don't make the best of it. If more than one person's been to see it the price might go a bit higher, but on eBay it seems more common to buy without viewing. It wouldn't surprise me altogether if the reserve was around £1495. Good luck to you. Roy This post has been edited by mackay1 on November 26, 2007 01:57 pm -------------------- '98 'R' XM 2.5 TD Exclusive Saloon RP 7200 Magenta

Club XM forum stickers, what a good idea. First move though, as has been said, is to come up with a design. It should be distict from others as well, although something as elegant as the Citroen Car Club one would be nice!
Do we need a competition? Is Noz the senior member? what does he think? Derek PS ten for me as well. This post has been edited by DerekW on November 26, 2007 06:33 pm -------------------- 1999 3.0V624v Exclusive Black! (RP8362)

Hi All
Was watching with interest how the price was going but will not now bid. I think that high mileage 2.5's however well maintained present a high risk of sudden short term failure and the price should reflect this. From recent high prices it would seem that not all ebay buyers take such a pessimistic view as me. Back end body and pipe rust is begining to catch a few at MOT time. Clutch and head gasket seem to crop up by 200k for a good number of these cars. Repairs can be expensive particularly if the head turns out to be porus and requires replacement. My guess is that with this one on ebay it cost £1000 from the dealer when obtained and the reserve has been set to get that money back. In my book it has aircon as a plus point but at nearly 160k miles is well towards the end of its working life so is not worth much more if any than is currently bid on it. Hi Ken,
Looks like it was £950 as someone's sitting on that now. How are your nerves - or are you out? Good luck anyway. Roy -------------------- '98 'R' XM 2.5 TD Exclusive Saloon RP 7200 Magenta
