Anyone come across this problem, checked the voltage only getting 9V so not surprised lights are dim, Brake lights are fine and bright no problems with them I suspected a bad earth it being a series 1.5 but the fact the brake lights are fine throws that theory out any idea where I should look before I go pulling out wires!
