Hi NOZ

INVALUBLE information,!!

Works a treat, did both my V6 12 v locks last night. Just left the locks dismantled and soaking in WD40!

Works fine now. GOOD STUFF as usual

Great tutorial.

Just to add a couple of points: on my S1, the return spring was a coil spring and this was somehow jamming the mechanism.

Also, in the course of dismantling it, two ball bearings came loose and I could not reassemble the lock and keep them in place at the same time. (in the instructions, these are referred to as "The ball bearing at the top left of the photo is one of two ball bearings which stop the barrel rotating when anything other than the correct key is pushed into the lock.")

However, I did reassemble WITHOUT these ball bearings and coil spring and the lock works fine now - though I imagine its security has been slightly compromised.

Jamie

Super! Thanks, Noz!

A few sprays of dry lube (the stuff used on bike chains that's not meant to attract grit), plus some work with the key got the lock working for now. I'll do the rest of the service sometime when it's lighter and warmer...

Ive just added this file to my Phone, so when I come to do my locks on site at the farm, I dont need pages of paper to blow away..

I think I need to do all my locks again. But this time use Plus Gas rather then WD40..
