Saw a Cit SM on the B&Q carpark today in Wednesbury!
It was Silver grey and had definitely seen better days but it was all there and solid. I noticed that beautiful glass nosecone as we looked for a place to hide the Cinquecento It was very rufty tufty but nothing a decent respray wouldn't fix. Never noticed the reg as wifey was with me and moaning but I would imagine even as it stood it must be worth a few grand -------------------- Dave.

Hi
Fairly amazing things aren't they! I had a good chat with the guys up at BL Autos in Wellyn when I was up there with my XM. They have two SM's and seemed to really know their way around them. They reckoned that the scruffy or problematic ones cost way more to get running properly than they were worth. To put this into context they had a SM in their shop that had been bought with a load of problems, the owner had paid £10K and the bill to fix it was going to be more than that! They did cheer me up with their 150K miler late 24v valve. Thats 60K up on mine, so at the present rate of driving mine it should be good for another 6-7years. Well here's hoping. Cheers Tony |

SMs are great machines to drive. I have had the privilege of driving at least 5 now.
In this vid I am driving one belonging to some friends. This car has a Jerry Hathaway engine and exhaust and goes and sounds better than any of the others I have driven. (JH is the guru at SM World in Los Angeles). BTW, this SM is RHD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HN-quZEjnbs Also have a look at the local company that imports and restores SMs. http://www.citroensmaustralia.com/home.htm -------------------- Craig Keller
