I had to push a fine ended srewdriver between the cable and the rubber grommet to allow entry of the tube into cable then just sprayed away i also sprayed around the lever bushing on the gearbox and the right angle joint at the rear of cylinder head.But spraying up the cable was the one that made the difference. You might also find that running some oil down the clutch shaft in the bellhousing will lighten it, it did mine.
