Diravi On Rhd Xm's, ??

Hi,

Is it possible to put DIRAVI on RHD XM's (series one and two). I wonder what was it about the LHD versions that meant they had DIRAVI steering. Was it the fact they had more space for the DIRAVI mechanicals, because engines are always more to the offside and gearboxes on the nearside (obviously for weight distributions issues).

I'm sure it could be possible but how hard would the conversion be? This is just an educational question due to curiosity, of course someone may want to do it, and it's probably been done before.

And the next question... if I wanted a LHD divari car, which model would I have to buy? Were any series II made with DIvari? Which year did they stop at?
Where is that French (or Dutch) Citroen expert!

You would have to buy a LHD V6 pre-1995. There are some in the country which come up for sale now and again.
The conversion is not confined to the unit itself; there are several piping differences also. It may be that there is more clearance with the V6 than the straight 4 but I understand that a general assumed resistance to Diravi in the UK meant that the demand was deemed to be too small to justify offering as an option in RHD.
