Hi all, anyone out there got a glowplug relay # 0 281 003 009 made by Bosch ?

No sorry Colin but I did manage to get mine apart and clean the contacts up with some fine emery. Also I found one of the big wires on the bottom nearly rotted through.
I still had to fit new glowplugs though  -------------------- Dave.
To flush, or not to flush? That is the question.............. 2.5TD VSX Hatch RP 6738 1992 BX16 TXS........Hasn't been well but getting better! Now has driveshaft gaiters and a dry bottom! Black Country, Staffs. |

Hi Gents,
Thanks for the advice Dave, I too have burgled my way into the relay, the contacts were suprisingly good and everything else looked ok too, I've resoldered all the joints on the pcb but it was a waste of time Citroenxm, thanks for the offer but I too have a few of the old type relays going spare but this on has an extra lug on the multiplug - presumably to communicate with the ecu. I have been through the same procedure with the glowplug relay on my 2.5. Ended up in desperation fitting one from a Xantia and it worked perfectly. I was also woried about the extra terminal but try it and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly supprised.
-------------------- Citroen XM 2.5TD - 2 off. Have also owned 2.1TD & 3.0l 24V XM. BX,'3 DS,s numerous GS's, H-Van, Ami, Dyane & loads of 2CV's.

Hi Rosspa, thanks for the reply, I'm a little confused though, to make the existing multiplug on the loom fit the older type relay would require a little surgery, I've been a bit reluctant to do this but if it's tried and tested what the heck
