Hi,
Does any member know what size injector socket I need to remove the injectors on my 2.5? Are there any problems I need to watch out for when removing them? Thanks. Steve. -------------------- XM 2.1 SED - RP5876

Hi Steve
You need a 22mm socket for the 2.5 injectors (2.1 needs a 27mm one). The injector with the electric sensor lead is the main problem as you need either a split socket or a very long socket (180mm plus) from a box spanner set. With the long box spanner you thread the injector lead up into the body of the socket and use another larger socket or spanner to drive the box tube round. The electrical lead controls all the injectors via the ecu so is important not to be damaged, particularly as that injector is very expensive to replace.
