Had a sit in one at eh Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh 2 weeks ago. It was the 2.7HDi. It took them 5 minutes to find the key though !

It does look the part. But you'd need a few journeys in it to really get a feel for the car.

Cheers

Yeah i had a play in the 2.7 as well, central Citroen brought one over from the mainland when it was first released, but since then nothing.
I cant afford it anyway so i don't know what I'm moaning about, but surely the purpose of a motor show is to show!?!?

Hi all.

You've got to laugh (or cry) --- a little snippet in the Sunday Times the other week --- the head of Citroen UK says they are disappointed with sales of the C6 here. Surprise, surprise !
What planet is this guy on ? If no one can see them; can't even get literature; the dealers don't seem to give a toss and it's overpriced, what do they expect ??????
I wouldn't pay these people in washers. Maybe Citroen should make this guy's pay commission based on the number of C6 they do sell here. Might see some action then.

Mike.

Hi onthecut

Fair point, but i suppose Citroen have bound there dealers into this buy back scheme to prevent huge depreciation, (how?). And with many dealers having memories of unreliable hard to shift xm's fresh in their minds what do Citroen expect! And product awareness is a big problem, not for Jo public but for the dealer.
Hell, my local cit garage don't even know how an xm works, even now wacko.gif
They tell me there is no way of finding a fault on mk1 suspension, apparently the ecu has no way of showing faults but it stores them dry.gif . I wonder why i do all my work myself now rolleyes.gif

Hi Dean.

I keep hearing about this buy back arrangement, but someone isn't playing ball. I've seen a few at auction now; all clearly ex - demo being offloaded by desperate dealers, I'm guessing.
I just can't imagine another manufacturer anywhere going to the undoubted cost of developing the car, then the RHD version, then more or less hiding it !

Mike.

Hi onthecut

I suppose they must not be as bound to this buy back scheme as i thought then!
Time to lay back and let the depreciation do its thing biggrin.gif

Remy and I pulled up next to a C6 in Maidstone about a month ago. It was the sex. I want one with every fibre of my being... even though my BX 14 is the best car in the universe. We were in one of the XMs and waved frantically at the guy who recognised we were in the "sire" of the C6, and from the way he reacted he must be a former XM owner or at least a veteran Citroenophile.

3 weeks ago in Camden we were crossing the street when all of a sudden everything went silent, and without making a noise an SM flew past us. Our jaws were on the floor and I desperately waved a Medway Citroen card after them. I still don't know how the SM managed to make Camden Town fall into total silence as it passed. True story.

TBH I'd rather spend a huge amount of money on a C6 than the C5, as the C5 is slowly becoming a very problematic car. Great news for us, but not for the owners. Don't tell on me, but I would steer clear of them wink.gif

The ONLY advertising I have seen for the C6 is on the Citroen website, and I think ONE pic in the Citroenian or something crazy like that.

If the C5 is problematic then i can imagine what the C6 will be like.
I'm seeing a C6................There is an electrical problem...................And the suspension is stuck in super hard mode rolleyes.gif
(By request) demags C6 will have Duff steering rolleyes.gif Along with, almost certainty, a whole myriad of other weird and unexplainable problems biggrin.gif

Finnieston Citroen in Glasgow now seems to have sold all 3 sec hand C6s they had, and brought 2 new ones, one is purple 2.2. I saw a silver one (mercedes-like silver) in Kilmarnock and today the same car driving Kilmarnock-Glasgow -impressive color-. They always drive them very fast!

Glasgow Citroen have tucked the expensive blue one away in the middle of their used car section.

The two that they have in the showroom at the moment look lovely.

Dark Metalic Red with cream leather, and a grey one with black leather i think.

I work just across from Citroen, so its teasing looking out of the window at work!! sad.gif
