Hi,
Give us some more info. Is it making any whirring/rattly noises when pressing the button? not down nor up? Cheers, Niek -------------------- '94 Xm 2.5 TD vsx + cruise + fogs!!

It's a rare XM mk2 window that does work properly - mine included!
Try this link for Noz's guide to fixing what is probably the problem http://club-xm.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=268 -------------------- Thunderbird 2.5 TD Exclusive - Deceased.

Hi
Have you tried the fuses. My owners manual lists 3 fuses for the electric windows: F35 - front windows F26 - rear windows F9 - window controls Each version and model of XM seems to have a different fuse layout so you will need to check your own manual. Hi,
Not sure if there is a relay. I do know that the command buttons are prone to failing because of dirt ingress, you can take them out and apart and then clean. Cheers, Niek -------------------- '94 Xm 2.5 TD vsx + cruise + fogs!!

Not sure if I should be adding this here but....
My passenger electric window is erratic - works sometimes. All other windows are fine. Quite clearly the window is not getting any power (as opposed to motors whirring and no movement) but the Haines manual isn't exactly detailed. It might just be a relay in the passenger footwell, I think. Any experience would be useful. As a rider - can the lights in the switches be replaced - or does it need new switches. Vehicle is Mk 2 2.5tD Exclusive |

icoleman,
the bulbs in the switches can be replaced, open up a switch and take the bulb to citoren who will give u one off the shelf. re. the window, I'm almost sure that the passenger window switch on the passenger door is connected in series with the passenger window switch on the driver door, so if one is not working, nothing is working. Same goes for rear window switches (on door and in middle console). If at least one of your rear windows are working OK, u could exchange both its switches with the front passenger's so to exclude the scenario that the intermittent function is switch-related. regards George -------------------- XM '94 V6 12v, manual, Diravi - Mark "1.5" in black - bought: 138,000mls now: 167,000 miles

same here, if your rears are working start by trying their switches on the fronts. G -------------------- XM '94 V6 12v, manual, Diravi - Mark "1.5" in black - bought: 138,000mls now: 167,000 miles

My drivers electric window stopped working too, no sounds whatsoever. Take the door card off and check the motor plug hasn't come undone, mine did and that was all that's wrong thankfully.
