Hi
Thanks everyone for their help. Well, it seems that there are a handful more around than I thought with the beige leather. Personally, if I could land a nice black exterior/black interior late V6 Exclusive, I'd be in dream world!! My previous magenta XM had black leather which was a combination I grew very fond of - despite initially being indifferent to the exterior hue. My current Xantia V6 is apparently (according to Citroen UK) a one off, having black body and beige leather. It's ageing very well, although I'm not a huge fan of the slightly ruffled look to the leather - I much preferred the taut look of the XM's leather. By the way, with the black interior ones, what determined the colour of the carpets and headlining? I ask as many black interiored ones I've seen have dark grey carpets and pale grey headlining - my black interiored one had very dark grey/black carpets and black headlining - looked like a coal mine inside but was very classy nonetheless. Any ideas anyone? Cheers Keith -------------------- 00W Citroen XM 3.0i V6 24V Exclusive

Hi Keith
Not all leather XM's are original leather as a few were retro fitted by some of the independants. Up to 4 or 5 years ago when secondhand high spec XM's still fetched good money it was worth the trouble of swapping seats, headlining, trim and carpet into a good low mileage car. As prices started to drop difficult things to change properly like carpets became the first items to scimp on. Regards XMexc -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.

Hi Car Literature
"Personally, if I could land a nice black exterior/black interior late V6 Exclusive, I'd be in dream world!!" Well it certainly is a great combination in my opinion. Mine lalso has a light grey headlining and black carpets, citroen mats. Good look finding one - I don't think that there can be more than a couple with this combination. Cheers Tony |

Yup; black leather, light grey headlining, black carpets with light grey overmats and dark shiny "wood" trim. Bernard Mathews had a name for it.
With three levels of seat heating in the winter and climate control air conditioning in the summer, it's still the nicest driving environment you can find. Derek -------------------- 1999 3.0V624v Exclusive Black! (RP8362)
