I have been carrying out a repair on my wives 2.1 XM since the cam belt snapped, and am now at the reassembly stage. My question is which hole should I pin to set the pump timing?
I have removed the diesel pump pulley to get a better perspective and find there are 2 possible threaded holes, one at 20 minutes past and one at half past. The Autodata cam belt book shows the timing hole at 25 minutes past. Any ideas? Anyone? unsure.gif

Go for the 20 past, it's definately not at half past - been there, done that unsure.gif I don't envy you trying to reconnect the turbo downpipe to exhaust flange - the whole car was built around this I think...

Good luck and best wishes, Colin.P
