2.1td Auto Exclusive.

Well it's not at the scrappies yet, but soon will be I think!

I've been to Doncaster with a mate of mine this afternoon to view a 2.1td auto hatch that he'd spotted last week dumped at a filling station.

The owner (car dealer) said he took it in p/x for another XM, but found it to have a leaking foot brake valve. It had also recently had £700 spent on the gearbox. Anyway he says it ran out of fluid and he drove it to this garage and left it there. He then sent someone to fit a new valve.
After fitting the valve he couldn't get the suspension up as it would need bleeding, not knowing how to do this the car was left.

So we'd agreed £150 for the car over the phone providing all was well. However when we arrive he doesn't have the logbook. Then when we got it started, it began to rise, only to see a flood of LHM coming from under the rear subframe.

It's a pity as the car seemed to be in decent condition with most things working including the A/C.

But the seller refuses to budge an inch on price so we left it.

So if anyone want an XM 2.1td Auto with knacked rear pipes for £150? I could get his number for you.

I'd take the interior for £150! assuming its leather of course

Unfortunately, it's not leather.

I thought being an Exclusive, it would be.

I'm told this car has now been moved. Presumably to have it's engine removed, as that's what the owner said would happen.

I'm going to contact him to find out as I could do with the bonnet from it, even the same colour.

Been in touch with the seller and he says he's sold it to a citroen dealer in the area.

Does anyone know any independent cit dealers around the Doncaster area?
