Unlike the the Mk1 which has infra red remote locking the Mk2 uses radio control, you will find the reciever under the glove box. My latest Mk2 had inoperative remote locking when I got it, and after spending nearly £80:00 on a new key/transmitter I found that it was the reciever that was faulty. You need a matched pair, so I would suggest you look at the "breaking" ads on this sight or e-bay. When you take the glove box out make sure you remove the front facing screw by the lock, or you will break something! (thanks Noz)
