Is it the display with the clock and outside temperature you want? Because I think if its an electronically managed engine they are mostly the same, the only one that seems to be different is the 2.1 diesel as its mechanically governed. Someone will probably tell me I'm wrong, but at least it should elicit a reply!

No, not just those 2 but also fuel consumption and average speed shown.

What you are talking about must be the same as in XM 2.0i S1, I think. wink.gif

Ok, I just wanted to get into the general area. I have one from a 'P' reg 2.1 td which did have an ECU and a trip computer, it has a bigger plug with more pins than the basic display. Mine has 7 pins the 'P' reg has 15 pins but I have just looked it and noticed it also has a larger display area, the aperture in the panel being bigger, probably because it is newer, so I dont think it would be any good to you. I would have thought that yours would have been one of the more common types as most of them have an ECU. Anyone else out there got one?

Hi Rob & Peter

I think there are only two types of RH display. All are electrically driven so any data processing to suit a particular model is done before reaching the dash display. You have mentioned the differences that enable visual identification of the two types. The simple display shows only time and temperature, has the smaller size of display (62mm x 14mm) and a 7 pin connector to the dash wiring. I have some in the spares box and these are marked 09020410920 & 339267-01 on green stickers. The more complex one includes trip computer data with a larger display (84mm x 21mm) and a 15 pin connector to the dash wiring. The spare one I have is marked 339270-02 on a yellow sticker. All these displays are mounted in the same size case but the perspex dash panel they mount in has different size holes according to display screen size. The perspex panels are also set at different angles in Mk1's and Mk2's. So whilst the displays are interchangable between Mk1's (temp in F) and Mk2's (temp in C) there are at least 4 types of perspex mounting panel.
Anyone trying to add a trip computer will need to change the wiper stalk/dash perspex/dash wiring. The new wiper stalk needs to be one with an end button for the trip computer.

Regards

Xmexec,,

Just a small point on your entry..

The TEMP display on ALL my S1 V6's has been in Deg C..

Not seen a Deg F display yet..

I have just broken a 2.0i 8v, prestege, I'll check to see if it had a Trip computer display unit if Xmexec cant help, but he could well possibly be able to.

Hi Citroenxm

The ones you supplied me are in 'Deg F', I just fitted one in the red XM. Do you remember what they came from? Not that I mind, I have spent more of my life with Deg 'F' than 'C'.

Hi there

I'm looking at my display unit now and I can see the code "329269-01" on a green sticker below.
Its connector is gray and 15 pin.
The display area is 84mm x 21mm.

I'll show you its photos soon. rolleyes.gif

Thanks
