Yes, my S1 is definitely a lower gear ratio than the S2, the S2 box "feels" less substantial even though its got over 100k less miles. I already mentioned I preferred the S1 wheel didn't I:-), I guess it is larger as well as thicker. -------------------- XM 2.0i Prestiege (Red) 1992 K reg RP 5692 (deceased)

i have been told that if you take the stalk from an XM with the trip computer and fit it to one without, then it works!!
Citroen must have used a common display, and only put the stalk with the button on higher spec models. **Scratches Chin..... wonder if my V6 Breaker has a stalk??** Looks lovely and tidy anyway! David. -------------------- 1990 V6 SEi Auto - breaking for spares.

Hi All
Sorry, there are 2 versions of the clock display. The one without the trip computer has a different electrical connector with far fewer pins. This makes an upgrade much more than swapping the stalk. On the noise issue it is important to reinstate the door foam after window winder repairs as leaving a hole gives noise a route into the cabin. The same applies to a loose or miss-set tailgate latch or a window that does not close fully. Hi guys,
Oh well David, it was wishful thinking while it lasted! I had visions of going and doing it in five minutes, but I should have known better than to expect anything on an XM to be so simple Cheers for the thought -------------------- '95 XM 2.1TD VSX Hatch: RP 6429. Rare green ;-)
