OK I finally got it out, anyone got any pinouts for the cables or other tips about how I can bench test it out of the car.
Only button that works at preset is on/off switch. radio does work but no volume, tuning :-( :-(. Tape has been broken (tape rolls but no sound) for several years. OK so i now have a PDF of the Service Manual (appears to be all circuit diagrams, and scanned copy of paper document). You can get it too at
