Hi all,

Looks like I may have patched my exhaust for the last time. Whats the general view on sources and prices of exhaust parts for an XM2.5TD? THe front section with the flexible portion looks OK so it will probably remain. However the middle and rear sections are shot.

Whats the views on having a stainless exhaust made? Any experience? What sort of cost would that entail?

Any help appreciated as always.

cheers

Hi noz,

I had a quote on the net for a stainless system I think it was about £650 ish. I only recently deleted the email.

I did a lot of shopping when mine packed up and prices were all over the place. I think the highest quote for an over the counter job was about £350 (mild steel supply only). I eventually had a none stainless one fitted for £285 with 2 year warranty. Not a bad difference. This was for a complete system from the manifold back.

That was November last year. Small indie tyre and exhaust place. Cox's Ltd. Oldbury, B694NH. Tel 01215523545 Might be worth seeing what they could supply one to you for.

Hi, you could try www.buypartsby.co.uk they seem to be fairly competetive and we`ve never had a problem, but you will need to pay someone for fitting unless you can do it yourself.
