Today when I got in and shut the door the interior lights started flashing and continued until the dimer timer cut them out. They continued flashing with the interior light switch on and it's led flashed. The remote control now won't lock or unlock the doors but it still turns off the immobiliser when you turn on the ignition and press the button. The central locking still works. I know a previous owner had a problem with the alarm going off and it was blamed on the alarm ecu but the diagnostics reading at the time said passenger door was at fault but they had the alarm disconnected. Tomorrow I intend to remove the connector from the door switch and see what happens. I was wondering if anybody new about this phenomena and thus likely fix.
