Hi all,
After bleeding the coolant system on my 2.5 I now have the three N/S indicators on constantly, ignition on or off. Any ideas ? Cheers, Mark. -------------------- '93 'L' XM 2.1 TurboD auto saloon RP 6002 blue

Presumably water on the electrics. What about the various relays and fuse boxes at the front of the engine bay?

Electrics fixed.
Was a very poor connection in the fuse box that sits in front of the air box. -------------------- '93 'L' XM 2.1 TurboD auto saloon RP 6002 blue

Hi all,
Forgot to add, Spoke to another helpful Citroen meachanic in Edinburgh who had been on all the XM fault finding / update courses "back in the day". Apparently on S2 cars this fusebox in front of the airfilter was known to be problematic and updates were issued. He said " re-splice into the bottom of the fusebox and change my problematic 30A fuse for a 40A" My problem was further exhaserbated by the "internal alarm off switch?" which was also causing the headlights to flash. Once this was explained to me what the switch did I realised I did not have another electrical problem. Bit long winded but you'll get the drift. Cheers, Mark. -------------------- '93 'L' XM 2.1 TurboD auto saloon RP 6002 blue

Hi All
Mark is right about the splice in fix but the 40 Amp is a red herring. It is fitting an ENCLOSED MOISTURE RESISTANT inline fuse that provides the cure NOT the change to 40Amp. Citroen changed the F2 Fuse to a 40 Amp fuse midway through the MK2 production but still used the same unprotected engine compartment box and these later cars are now suffering F2 fuse problems despite the 40 Amp fuse. Another alternative is to replace the fuse box contacts which typically gives another 8 to 10 years life. Regards XMexc -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.
