It seems to me that hydractive 1 has an advantage, when diagnosing suspected ride deterioration, of being able to switch to "sport" and know that as a result the suspension is in the firm state. This allows you to make immediate comparisons between the quality of the ride in the two states.
With the elegant system adopted for hydractive 2, switching to "sport" simply lowers the parameters that are used to engage the hard setting. Much better from the driver's aspect but no good as a diagnostic tool. As the ECU selects hard by cutting the supply to the electro valves, would it be possible to wire in a couple of switches (one front, one rear) so that the the suspension can be switched manually to the hard state? If so, where? Derek -------------------- 1999 3.0V624v Exclusive Black! (RP8362)

Hi Derek,
Maybe even easier than that. Find the 12v supply via the fusebox to the ecu and fit a switch there. Otherwise just pull the fuse. They are within easy reach of the drivers position. Cheers noz -------------------- '10 '59' C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Tourer Metallic Grey
