Free Car!, FREE car!

I thought the title might grab your attention. I have decided to let my xm go - if you remember it threw it's cam belt a few weeks ago and I just haven't had a chance to even look at it being too busy with work etc. It has now come to crunch time - the mot, tax and insurance are due and it will be illegal at the end of the month being parked on the road. Therefore, I am offering it to anybody who wants it for FREE. The only thing is it has to be moved either next week-end - I am then on holiday for 2 weeks - or the last week-end this month. It is in cracking condition with 4 fairly new tyres on. If I had the room I would get it repaired. It is too good to go to the scrap man and I would like it to go to someone on here.

No it hasn't but someone is interested in it. I will definately need it moving this coming week-end. If the bloke who expresssed an interest in it no longer wants it I will let you know. Where are you by the way?

I have a 2.oi turbo Onyx LPG which Ive spent a small amount on... Are you after an XM or hoping for one as cheap as possible..

Paul, this lpg Onyx, tell me more, I could justify a 'sensible' XM! Where's it's lpg tank,
boot or spare wheel well and is it inlet induction or separate manifold injectors?

And before you say I'm mad = yes I am. Have just given away (for nowt, yes, nothing to a
good friend of mine) a very VERY nice VSX Xantia that drove exceptionally well; I'll miss it!
The real shame is the last drive I made in it; I totally uprooted the driver's mirror totally off
the door. I feel sick in the pit of my stomach and very sad.

If anyone wants this car then get in touch before Saturday. I can collect it but won't have much time for it or with it. If someone can take it on and/or repair it then please do but I'm collecting at weekend so you'll need to be very quick as I have no storage space.

Paul, I don't have much money to play with (to put it mildly) but let me the details of your XM please, and yes, I am Cavmad mate.

Well for Both you Andrew and VauxBX,

Its a S1 1994 Last of, Onyx, in black, 2.oi turbo auto, LPG injection.

The tank is spare wheel type so the boot can still be used to full extent. Its an ECU controlled unit, and the Gas is injected directly into the manifold right NEXT to the petrol injectors... I have a picture to show.. Couple of niggles, if you floor her foot to the floor when she changes up theres a slight dead spot that jerks the car HOWEVER, if you take it easyer theres NO dead spot. I personally think the system doesnt like the auto box setup... but it live with able..

I have upgraded the car to SEi spec, IE: Leather, electric arm rest, SEi alloys. The car has a retro air con system fitted, but theres a leak somewhere.. 11months MOT and 5 months TAX, cost to run?, I put about 27 quids worth in @ 50p litre, and get about 220 miles out.....!

Reason to sell. Well, really, I just want to fund an LPG Injection kit for my S1 24v so I can enjoy and use her instead every day!

I still need to sort out 2 things: Central locking problem. and No heated rear window. I sorted everything else out.

PPS: I just done head gasket, valve seals, new water pump, cam belt, aux belt (both of them)
