Well, as it says I do not have any power to the front electrovalve. I had the engine running all doors closed and the sport/normal switch to normal. Nothing to the front valve. About every 15 seconds there is a flash of voltage but too quick for me to read the value.
Rear I think is OK, the suspension is supple and smooth, the front moves smoothly but is hard compared with the back. The board has had new MOSFETS installed with the diode mod courtesy of Mr Mackay. I would appreciate your thoughts. Thank you, Robin. This post has been edited by Robin on March 02, 2007 05:59 pm -------------------- XM ownership - He took a bite and kept chewing!

Robin, where are you testing for voltage?
An occasional reading would suggest to me bad connections. Especially as the board has been removed to do the mods. It might be worth checking all the connector blocks are firmly attached. Also do you have good soldered connections on the mosfets? You have to solder top and bottom. Mine were a right pain to get to the top two legs at the back. Did you replace both mosfets or just the front. My rear one was ok so never got disturbed. Was it working ok and gone bad, or has it been like this since the mod? -------------------- Dave.

Uncertain of the start of this problem Demag. The Mosfets were repalced as a matter of course following no signal at all to either of the electrovalves. Had some response following the mod and now the front is without power except for that 15 sec blip which is regular and a puzzle.
I am testing for voltage at the electrovalve itself. Also I am confident the connections are sound and they are certainly clean without any contamination. As for workmanship - I am also confident that this is good. Robin -------------------- XM ownership - He took a bite and kept chewing!

Where did you put the diodes? In the loom or on the board?
I know this is a daft question but you haven't got one backwards? So in effect it would stop the supply. Would it be possible to test the voltage on the pin out at the board that would rule out a wiring problem? -------------------- Dave.

Demag, the board was repaired by Roy Mackay and Roy has done enough of them to know where to solder. I guess it may be possible to have a duff Mosfet but unlikely.
In another direction - If a 12 volt supply is connected across the correct pins to feed the electrovalves directly just temporarily would this prove the mechanical/hydraulic system? It could be done with a pair of small pin test leads directly into the socket. If the suspension then performs properly it is the board, if not it is the electrovalves assuming a supply is found at the electrovalve socket. I think the valves could cope with full voltage for ten or so minutes while you went for a quick drive. Question for me is which socket and which connectors?
