Hi,
It's time to sell my V6 Exclusive Estate. Runs very well, but I'm no longer doing the long distance runs I used to; running light around town makes for insane mpg. Good parts: 10 months tax, 10 months MOT, New rear tyres, new spheres front and back. Low milage engine (approximately 60k). Full leather, no rips. All factory options fitted. Nice to drive. Quiet, very comfortable. All electrics (front seat adjustments, windows, mirrors) work. Bad parts: Small LHM leak at bottom of pressure regulator. Small water leak at bottom of header tank. Only one of the heated seats warms up. Cruise control doesn't work (used to, but stopped after driving slow on very bumpy track). Aircon doesn't work (I've been told it needs re-gassing). Cooling fans need attention; they work but somneone's fitted a manual switch. Front tyres still legal, but should be replaced soon. Bodywork fair; a few small shallow dents on nearside; not obvious but they are there. Cost? £500 ono. Realistictly it can be used long term `as is' and would make a great rolling restoration for the Summer. Citroen only sold 28 in total of this model with this specification in the U.K. Full restoration to concours condition would be practical but I cannot do it. Tel: 01575 572647. Hi there,
Could be interested in your XM. I've left a message on your landline. Does it have tow bar / sunroof? What year is the car? You say engine done 60K - what about the car's mileage? Finally whereabouts in the country are you? Many thanx beachcomber |

Hi Beachcomber,
I didn't get your `phone message. Regarding the LHM leak the car drives well; I still use it day to day. I wouldn't be happy about a long run though without doing something to fix the leak. To do this, worst case scenerio would be to take off the pressure regulator and either replace it or fit a new seal; not too difficult but as I said I'd like to either sell the car quickly `as is' (while it still has 10 months tax) or fix the regulator leak properly. Other than that and a small water leak from the header tank there are no real problems with the car. Let me know one way or another if you're interested please. Regards, Jim. |
