Hi Andrew,
How easy a repair is this ? Could you please explain how you would do it, I presume you would bring a new strut top with you ? All the best, Mark. -------------------- '93 'L' XM 2.1 TurboD auto saloon RP 6002 blue

As repairs go it's relatively easy - as long as the bolts come undone. Yes - new strut needed.
You might get some funny looks driving along with that bonnet! It must be worth saving from the breakers, even though its in a rare but unpopular colour. This post has been edited by wirdy on February 12, 2007 12:56 pm -------------------- '99 'V' XM 2.0 CT VSX Auto Estate RP 8360 Green.

Remember to budget for possibly another strut, a wheel arch liner, flexi brake lines to the caliper, and possibly an abs sensor / loom if the wires have been damaged as the strut went skywards.
If it was a different colour, with a tow bar and an estate then I would have been interested.....possibly -------------------- '99 'V' XM 2.0 CT VSX Auto Estate RP 8360 Green.
